Kitty Bees Spot light show case

Hello everyone and welcome to my very first spotlight
card for the Kitty Bees Design team. I am a new
member and so thrilled to be here.
I was so happy to be brought on board with these fabulous
gals. So with out further ado, Here it is.
My card is a 5 X 7 standard card that I have embossed
using my Darice  folder. At the beginning of the
year I made a resolution to use up my scrap paper and
so far I am staying true to that.. So all this paper
are from my stash. I used a Spellbinders Petite Scalloped circles
cutter for my image as well as the frame. Cut out 3 coordinating
brown pieces for my banners to match the cow. Added
3 black pearls and made my own sentiment on the computer.
Cut them out with my scalloped circle punch..

The image I have chosen  to use is called
Over the Moon with You which you can find
over at Kitty Bee Designs. They have such a
wonderful selection of cute little images, it
is hard to pick just one..

I hope that you have enjoyed my first spotlight and will
leave me some love to let me know how I did.

Happy Craftin.

Through The Purple Haze Ch # 30.

It is hard to believe that we are almost through
with the month of February, but we are. Since I have
retired I don't know where the time goes.

Our Sponsor this week is Derwent and
they are offering up some products as prizes.

This week our challenge was to color an image
with colored pencils. Well, sometimes that is good
for me and sometimes not. So for this project I used
my watercolor pencils and I think it turned out well.

This week is about Loves in the Air. Well for
me there is something very Lovely about a
fresh brewed cup of coffee.

I colored my cup in with my watercolor pencils and then
added this very cute little Sizzix rub on face. I love the
smile and it went so well with the sentiment.

This background paper is from off the internet..I just
copied it onto this coffee colored paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card and will join us this week
for another challenge of Love is in the Air
at Through The Purple Haze.

Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. Today I am sharing a bright
and cheerful card that I put together with a
positive thought.. I think everyone could use
a card from time to time like this.

For my strips I have used one of the Crazy 8
dies from Marhta Stewarts collection. My image is
from Digi's4joy. This is such a versitile image.
My sentiment is from Create with TLC
I have added some silk leaf stems, a strip of red silk
ribbon under the sentiment and scalloped
heart, topped with a flower.  And to  finish is off
I have added a silver butterfly..

I will be adding this card into these chalenges:

my New Years resolution to use up my scrap papers.
I don't know about you, but I have tons. So decided
that this was the year to thin it out..It is actually turning
out pretty well.My ribbon strip is from Joann's. It's self
sticking, which if FABULOUS>>

I have colored my image with these copics, Y35, RV10,
R10,RV34, B00, YR04, G43, & YG05. As I stated earlier

Kitty Bees - Challenge 15 Something New

Good morning everyone. I am so happy to be one
of the new members to the Kitty Bees DT.
Today our sponsor is A Random Fan. OMG they
have some fabulous images..
Today I am using Little Miss Sassy which they provided us.

Isn't she adorable..

I have colored her with these copics. BG57, Y35, E15, E00,E11 & R20.
Staying true to my New Years resolution of using up my scrap paper,
I used this fun striped background.. I found a cordinating
blue to mat my image on and make my scalloped along the
side of the card.
Both my kitty and scallop are the new items on my card.

And finally my sentiment is a stamp that I purchased at Michael's
a long time ago.. I just love it..I used my Fiskars scalloped punch to
cut it out and them found a flower base from my Recollecgtions
flowers to use as my base..

I hope that you like my card and will join us this week over at

TTPH Challenge #24: Anything Goes

Goodmorning and Happy New Year to you all.
I hope that this new year has started on a great note.
This week is all about Anything Goes with our
sponsor being Crafty Sentiments. This week
I chose to use this cute little image called
Sally Having Fun.

My new years resolution this year was to
use up all of my scraps. Now I don't know if that
is realistic, since I am always making more but
for this card, I stayed true and used all scrap paper..
Yeah for me..

I have use copic markers BV0000, BV01, RV34,E13 & E15.
I have cut her out and placed her on the coordinating paper
for the striped. These are all DCWV paper and I know that
because that is my favorite paper of all time..

My sentiment is a new one that I picked up at our
local craft store. I love this saying..The swirls are from
a Memory Box die and the butterflies are  by K & C Company.

I hope you will join us this week at Throught The Purple Haze
for our anyting goes challenge..

Happy Scrappin..

Sentimental Sunday Challenge #189

Happy New Year everyone. Hope you are off to a
fabulous start. I know I am.. Today I am sharing
a birthday card for our It's a BUGGY Bug World
challenge at Sentimental Sundays

I pledged that this year I was going to use up
all of my scraps. So I won't have paper names
exact, but will assum they are mostly from
DWCM. I am a huge fan of their papers and
always buy when they are on sale.

My image is from QKR called "Little Boy"
I just love this as my grandson will be three soon
and he does love bugs.

My birthday sentiment is from a package of stickers
and the ants are from Jolene's... I love how this card
came together.. It was a blast to color as well.

I hope you will find inspiration in my project and
create your own Buggy Bug card for our challenge at

If you get lost along the way, just start back at Anita's.
I will be creating cards with these very soon, but
wanted to get them all colored up so you could see how
fabulous her designs are..

Sentimental Sunday Challenge #188 Make it new or Alter something

Happy New Year to everyone. This week here at Sentimental Sundays
we were to Make it New Or Alter something.. Well this is not my
best talent but came up with an idea that I will be continuing in the future.
 We all have those
birthday cards, Christmas cards, Anniversary and so on, just either laying
around  or in boxes and drawers. So, I took and old birthday card
and made it my own. Here goes.

What I did was cute the old card apart. Placed this striped background onto
a new card base. Next I added the lower portion as seen below.

These cakes are popped up for demention. Next I cut out
the Birthday sentiment and added it to the top left corner
as seen below.

The striped strip was along the bottom of the old card and I
liked it so decided to add.. and the final touch is the border
strip that I punched out with my Martha Stewart Star.

I think for  my first attemp at altering something it
turned out pretty well. I hope you are inspired to cute
those old cards apart and make new ones from them..
I know I will be

 Happy Scrapin.
