ME4Y Three Pearl Challenge

This week challenge is to make a card using
3 pearls.
Had allot of fun with this one. To start with I most all the time
use the 5 1/4 X 7 1/4" cards. I think you can do so much more with
this size. So today, I used a dark pink back ground that I ran
through my dotted swiss embossing folder for texture.
Then my border around the picture I did a new technique that I
just learned off of YouTube. I have to say that I Love this.
Here is a close up.
This is called Embossed Stamping and it is the coolest thing.
You ink up the positive side of your embossing folder and
run it through you Bigkicks and it transfer the ink to the
card as it is embossing. I really mean this is the coolest
thing I have learned in awhile.
My Digi is from Bugaboo. I colored it with my Copic Markers,
cut out some swirls and  finished it off with a Martha Stewart
butterfly.

3GJ Challenge #1 ~ Butterflies and Bows

3 Girl Jam - Butterflies and Bows
http://3girljam.blogspot.com/
I am very excited to be entering into this challenge. So
here is my card.

I love this challenge and I love butterflies. For this  card I  have
used a 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" card. I opened it out and then scored each side mid
way and folded the scored sides in. I used a piece of my Citris Stack
DCWM paper for the front. Then I cute a Solid blue 4 x 4 square for the
center and again used a piece of my Citris paper. I placed a  round
doily on top and cute my Large Sizzix Butterfly out of a scrap piece
paper from my stash,

As you can see this is a gate fold card. I have never
made this type of a card, but I must say,I love this style.
For the center of my
butterfly I place a white silk flower topped with a white
bow. I used a little black bling swirl to add more texture to
this card. For my sentiment I used my Martha Stewart flower
punch and my Creative memories circle punch and layered
the two.I used my sending smiles stamp to finish it off.
I took this side view to give you alittle better look at
the layers of this card. and now for the inside.
I like to add a little something to the inside. I think
it ties it all together. Here's one more look at my
finished card.

ME4Y Sketch Challenge

I love sketch week. Really gets the creative juices flowing
First of all I will show you the card that I made for the
sketch challenge.
For the black scallops I used my Cricut cart "Elegant
Edges" to cut a 4 1/2" circle. I have had this cart for sometime
now and hadn't used it until now. I LOVE it. Then I used my
Creative Memories circle cutter to cut a 4" inner circle, then ran
it through my large circle embossing folding..
The flowers I cut out of my original digi. Then I took
my friends Scribbles Swirls die cutter to add a fun
touch to my card. And to finish it up, I used my
Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants to make my
Get Well sign.
Now for the Sketch
I hope you will join us over at ME4Y this week for our sketch challenge.

Don't forget to become a follower of my blog for a chance

PSC44: Clean and Simple Sympathy

This weeks challenge at PSC44  is a Clean and Simple  Sympathy card.
I am excited to be participating in a challenge. I haven't entered any in
quite a long while due to my shoulder surgery. But I'm back and here is my card.

I used my Sizzix embossing folder with this very
delicate embossed design on it. I think it is perfect for
a sympathy card. I also used my Martha Stewart's
butterfly punch and my heart leaf die cut.
For the Sympathy stamp I picked this up at
Michaels for a buck. Love those types of finds.

ME4Y - Back to school challenge using Vellum

Today I am showing you something that I had never done before
and really never even had thought about doing. One of my
projects was to make a card using Vellum. Well, we all know that
Vellum is opaque and can come with a design on them. But nothing
I found was what I was looking for, so I made my own background
out of Vellum by photo copying my vellum with my background
pattern. Here is what my pattern was.
So I took this plan piece of vellum which is  hard to see.
And this is what my vellum looked like after I photo copied it.
If you look closely at the two you can tell that the vellum
color is alittle softer than the original paper, which I really like.
It doesn't take over the design. So for my Card I cut this for
the background.
My Digi is from Bugaboo Digi stamps. I must say I do love them.
I added this puppy holding the book, since he is ready
for school as well. And for my last detail I added
the A+ for the sentiment. For my boarder I used
one of my hole punches by Fiskar. I think that card
turned out great.

I design for
