PSC25: Uplifting Sketch

This weeks challenge over at Perfect Sentiments
is an Uplifting Sketch. Here is the sketch.
And here is my card:

I used a two sided card stock for this one. Floral on one side and a diamond pattern on
the other. Then the best thing of all was this wonderful rose colored scrap that was
in my scrap sack. It matched the colors in the back ground perfectly.

I cut a 1" butterfly with my cricut and the Picturesque cartridge. On either side of the butterfly
I glued a patch of flower peddles in the cream color that matched the card color.

This sentiment I downloaded it from the internet, cut it out with my circle cutter,
then backed it with a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs die. For the inside I
used the reverse side of my paper since it was lighter and would be easy to
write on without having to place a piece of white paper over it.

I hope you'll come back next time for another Scrappinfab card.

Such a fun card to make. I love butterflies so this sketch was the
perfect time to show them off. Here is the sketch.

And here is my card

Once again I hit my scrap sack and found this really neat looking yellow paper that
had these blue leaves that reminded me of Butterflies. I used my small dots embossing folder for the
bottom half of my card.

To separate the two I used my Martha Steward Butterfly trim punch, made a strip
from yellow scrap paper. For the butterflies I used my Cricut cart "Picturesque" to cut
them at 1 1/2". I used Tim Holtz tumble glass Distressed Ink around the edges of my
butterflies, which brought out the blue in the paper. I then place a glass jewel in the center of the
butterfly for a splash of bling. The sentiment is just one of my many stamps.

Here is a shot of the card laying down so you can see how I bent the wings upward to
give them the look of flying. I hope you enjoy my card, and so stop by again for
another scrappinfab day.

Made Especially For You Challenge: Distressed Ink

Our sponsor this week is (My Craft Spot) with this wonderful
set of Friends and Neighbors stamps. Sure wish I could enter to win
this for myself.

So, onto my card. I am very timid when it comes to destressing anything on my cards
and this time is no different. I used a VERY light inking along the sides of my card, which I will
admit doesn't even really show up, but trust me it is there.

This card is so out of my norm, but I think she turned out great. The back ground is
a light floral which had dragon flies on it which you can't see, but I loved the faded look
of this paper. It had just enough lavendar in it to make my little gal pop.

I used my victorian sizzix frame which I just love on this card. My little gal is
lightly water colored then cut out. This something new that I am trying, so I still
have some techniques to  work on, but I think she turned out pretty well.

For the flower I used my Anemone Flower Topper in two different colors, and for
the center I used a white paper flower. The leaves around the flower is from my
leaf die.

I used my circle cutter to cut our some pre-stamped sentiments that I had done along while back. For the
framing of the sentiment I just cut a little larger circle in the lavendar, then placed a few more leaves around it.

For the inside I framed a piece of white journaling paper with the same lavendar from the front
and placed another leaf at the bottom. I am really super pleased with this card.

Perfect Sentiments Challenge:

PSC24: Distressed Thank You's

Here's another card challenge for Perfect Sentiments. This week we are suppose to use a
distressed technique so I chose to ink the sides of my card. I really like this card. I think it
is really cute.
For this card I had been over at my friends house a very long time ago and she had this
adorable stamp set, so I stamped it on cardstock and stuck it away. So when I was looking for some
thing to do for the challenge I came across it and thought this was perfect for this
challenge. The Holy Cow and Cow I just cut out and placed glue dots on them to make them stand up off the page.

For the back ground I used my scalloped edge punch that places a whole at each scallop. The Sentiment was cut by my circle cutter and framed with this polka dot circle frame and then I
found my pouch of black and white flower pedals and layered three different ones to make my
flower. I love, love this card. Here is one last look at my finished project.

ME4Y Challenge...Card featuring three buttons

Welcome back for another "Made Especially For You" card challenge. This weeks
challenges is to make a card using 3 buttons.. Simple right. So here goes with
what I chose to make...
I have had this mouse stamp for a long time and hadn't used it so thought with the weather
like it is , rain, rain, rain, it just made since to do something about rain with it. I had this perfect
back ground paper of rain. Doesn't it look perfect.

I stamped the design on card stock, colored it and then cut it out. I did a reverse dots embossing on the
back ground oval just for added texture. Love this stamp.

And this sentiment is EXACTLY how I feel right now. The rain doesn't normally affect me, but
this year it is really bugging me. I want to be outside working in my yard. So, when I found this
I knew this is what my card would be all about.
The flowered lace ribbon reminded me of rays of sunshine that end at the buttons.
I love this card, I hope you do to. Heres one last look at my finished card.

The lucky winner of this challenge will win this prize from My Craft Spot.
WOW that's a tone of sentiments. Wish I could win this one :)

CFC-47

This weeks challenge over at  http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/  was to create an Easter Card with
something that you would find in an Easter Basket. I just happened to have this stamp that had two
of the items you would find in a basket. A bunny and an Egg as well as grass. So perfect for  this
challenge.

Here is my card.
I found this back ground paper in my stash box. I cut my scalloped retangle frame from Sizzix to sit my oval
on top of so that my rabbit would really pop. The rabbit is a stamp from Stampin Up.
The trim I used is also from my scrap box. I picked it up at a garage sale this past summer and I love the way it looks like grass. And the lovely bow is from Reasonable Ribbons.

The Happy Easter is another stamp from Stampin Up.

For the inside I just cut two ovals one larger than the other and back them for the journaling. And for the bottom of my card I used alittle more of the ribbon lace to sit my little rabbit on. This one will be hard to give away, but I have the perfect person.

And if you are a Cricut lover be sure to come back on Saturday for our
DO YOU SPEAK CRICUT reviews.

CAS-ual Fridays - Clean And Simple Challenge! CFC43

I have never made a round card before and it was allot of fun to do. I wasn't really sure how to get started once I had cut out the circle. It's such a different shape than I had ever worked with before. So I once I had looked at the sample I decided to emboss the top with my Sizzix Floral embosser. I had some DCWV paper scraps that went really well with the green so I cut a half circle for the bottom half.
I chose to use this cute K & Compnay  birds with a nest strip, representing the 3 florals in the center of the card.
I stamped my sentiment onto a circle and bordered it with the same green from the card.  I love using the K & Company Three dementional flowers. That just seemed to set the card off.
For the inside I cute a white circle and used another K & Company flower. I absolutely love this card. I will be making more Circle cards in the future.
One last look at my first circle card.

Made Especially for you... Sketch card.

ME4Y SKETCH CARD

This weeks challenge was to make a card using a sketch, which I will show  you in awhile. So here is my card using that sketch.
This was really fun for me. I have never made a banner before so I cut this out by hand using a sewing template. I used a blue ribbon to attach the banner too. For the horizontal design I cute a blue bazzil that I ran through my checkered embossing folder and framed it with white
Next I made this silky flower from three different colors that I had in a mixed bag of peddles then placed a crystal in the center.
For the sentiment I used the chipboard word "SMILE" from a stash that I  had. Placed the butterfly in the corner and added 3 pearls to finish it off. Now for the SKETCH.

PSC22: Christmas Trimmings

PERFECT SENTIMENTS CHALLENGE
CHRISTMAS TRIMMINGS.

This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas card. My first thought was, it's MARCH! But I actually had a great time making this card. It gave me lots of thoughts about making a few of these each month so I would be ready when Christmas really does come around. So here is what I came up with.
I used a standard 4A card in red. Then I cut a piece of white and ran it through my Snowflake embossing pouch. I love this pouch. Then to cut the edges I use4d one of my lacy Fiskars edge cutters. I found this small strip of braided lace ribbon and placed it along the edge.
I used my santa stamp, colour him in and put him in the bottom corner with 5 dot stickers to give him some lift off of the page.
I cut out the sentiment with my circle cutter and placed in on top of a red lace doily. I made my ribbon out of two colors. I placed a 1/4" red over top of a 1/2" white. I like the layered look to this.
For the inside I used the same Fiskers edge cutter and cut both sides of the strip to really give it a lacy look. I like to finish the inside in some way.

Now I'd like to invite you to join us over at "Made Especially For You" for our
Spring Fling Blog Hop coming March 16th.

and if you are a cricut owner you are going to love this. Every Saturday you will find one of
the  Design Team Member giving you a full review of their special Cricut Cartridge. So do stop by Made Especially For You and check it out. Hope to see you. Leave us a note and let us know what you think. We love hearing from you.

Made Especially For You.... St. Patrick's Day card featuring twine

It's Monday and time for another Made Especially For You Challenge. This weeks challenge is
to make a card featuring St. Patricks Day. This was a fun one for me and I was able to use ALL scrap
papers from my stash. Didn't cut one new piece of paper at all.. I love these type of challenges. So, here is my take on this weeks challenge.
I have this great box of small pieces of papers from other projects that I have done that I keep close at hand just for projects like this. I used a light green for the upper part of my card that I ran through one of my embossing folders to add texture. Then I found this really cute St. Patricts  paper with the strip that says "Leprechauns" running acros the top of the striped bottom paper.
You can see that alittle better here. Then I found these cute Pots of Gold on  another scrap piece and fussy cut them out and put them on the striped paper. They make a nice touch.
I cut a Doily with my Sizzix cutter and make the Four Leaf Clover really pop. Along the side I place a piece of ribbon and ran three strands of Green and White twine done the edge.
I kept the inside simple by just adding a simple Green journaling paper and another fussy cut pot of gold.
Just another look at my Lucky card.
