RCS #16 - Christmas Layouts

This is the first time I have ever posted a scrapbooking layout.
But I do so much of it, I though I should give it a try.
This is the last photo I have of my father at our home
at Christmas 2009. I love this photo fo him.

And this is our fire place that I hang all of our
homemade stocking on.. I had to make them
larger so they would hold more.LOL
I love this.. All the stockings were hung by the fire
in hopes that St. Nick would soon appear.

Bugaboo stamp challenge.

I love the snow and thought this was super cute.
I love the snowman juggling the snowballs. It's hard to
see here but I put a dab of glitter glue on each snowball
and on the brim of his hat.
I embossed the red background paper with my
snowflake embossing folder and layered the let it snow
digi with a scallop circle die. To finish it off I used one
of my snowflake punches and a row of snow flake ribbon.
Really fun to do.

Red Carpet Guest Designer

This week I am so honored to be a guest Designer
for the Red Carpet Studio blog.
It's all about snowmen this week. So when one
doesn't have what one needs, one goes shopping. I
found this lovely little snowman at Meljen's.

For the bakground I used a snowflaked pattern paper.
Using my Sizzix die cutter I cute the blue frame around
the snowman. I love how the birds are handing the
Christmas balls and the lights all tangled up around him.
My sentiment is from a winter paper pack that had
all these wonderful saying in the packet. I used some
Trendy Twine wrapped around the side and then tied
my sentiment with it. I hope you enjoy my card.

PSC58: Let it Snow

Perfect Sentiment Challenge with a twist.
Creat a card with what ever we want as long
as the card has some sort of snow on it.
Well, I can handle that. It is the time of year. I
don't have snow yet but I am sure praying for some.
So, here is what I came up with.
This card was made with my Sizzix embossing pouch and
Sizzix fancy swirls, a snowflake punch by Fiskars and
a Martha Steward corner punch. the sentiment Frost
Snowman is from Joleens sticker set. I had colored one
after I had embossed it and truly it looks better just embossed.
I hope you enjoy my craftiness :)

12/ME4Y-3 Christmas w/Die Cut

For this weeks challenge I have made this
wonderful die cut Snowflake border. I had seen
this die and I just loved it.
So, here is my challenge card.
I have this wonderful Sizzix embossing folder with
beautiful snowflakes on it and it was the perfect background
for this card.  For the snow flake border
it took me several tries to figure out just how to
place this die in my cutter to get it to cut completely
through becuase you cut one side then the other.
So making sure that you mark your cutes is very important.
It was one of those dies that I thought, Oh No
was this really a good purchase. But once I got it figured
out, I was thrilled.
For me the snowflakes just wasn't blingy enough so I place these cute little
stickers in the center of the snow flakes. I love how it
turned out.
My  sentiment is from my Christmas sentiment set
that I just forget that I had :) and framed it with
these really cute candy canes that were in my stash.
I really hope that you enjoy my card.

Our sponsor for this weeks challege is

1 stamp set of the winner's choice

I am also entering this card over at

Hope to see your entered into our challenge this week.

ME4Y Shaped card

This card made me smile so big. I had never made a shaped card
before and was really at a loss when saw that that was our
challenge this week. So, started looking through all my
crafty goodness and found this oh so cute bag. So here is my
shaped card.

I took a small digi that I had and blew it
up 200% twice. Once on the yellow and then
again on the clear vellum. I stamped some
candy pieces and placed them between the two
and double up on the bow at 200% as well.
For the sentiment I used a thank you stamp
then cut it out with my scalloped oval cutter
and tied it with some trendy twine.
Really enjoyed making this one. Hope you have
fun making yours.

Create a card inspired by the provided sketch

Welcome to another ME4Y challenge.
This week is all about sketches which is
a challenge that I love.
Here is the sketch for this week
and here is my card using our sponsors digi.

Everything that I used on this car with the exception of
the digi is out of my scrap box and the sentiment. Used a Straw
back ground paper to  set my little scarecrow on.  My pearls are
white that I colored with my copics to match. The sentiment is from
Verve Stamps.

RCS #13 - Black & White Cards

I love black and white cards. They are so
eligant and sharp looking.

For this card I used a floral stamp and white embossing powder on
black card stock. Did the same for the sentiment. I
cut everything out with my Sizzix shapeablitlities cutter.
I used a cool border strip down the left side and topped it off
with two silk flowers and some pearl strands.

RCS #13 - Black & White Cards

Here is another one of my Black and White
cards that I put together today. I have used
this stamp set so many times for thank you's
I have lost track.

This set is from DOTS stamps. I have had it for many years,
but it is still my favorite when doing Thank You's and
Birthday cards as I have both sets.  Simple and quick
when you need one in a hurry. It's truly a stamp
and go set. I hope you enjoy it.

ME4Y Halloween Card with Banner

This weeks challenge was to make a card using one of
Mel Jen's digi's. I love these digi's. So here is the digi I
chose and how I put my card together.

I used a 51/4 X 7" card for this so my digi would be a bit larger.
I used my Sizzix swirl embossing folder to emboss the back ground
of this card. Then I copied my digi twice. Once on the orange back
ground paper then again on white. I fussy cute the witch out and then
laid it over the top of the one that was on the orange back ground. Perfect fit.
I used a piece of Trendy Twine along the side. The banner is from Jolene's.
I think she turned out pretty cute.

some great Digi's from them.

ME4Y Bugaboo Sketch Card

Welcome to another Sketch Challenge.
This week we are honored to have our wonderful sponsor
This week I  chose a Halloween card with one of
Bugaboo's fabulous DIGI's. So here is what I
created using this weeks challenge sketch.

I love this DIGI.

Using all the colors of Halloween, Yellows, black, Orange
and brown. I love how this turned out.
I had these wonderful fall buttons, so I cut the backs
off of them and placed them on the black squares which
really gave this card some dimension.
This is just a fabulous DIGI from Bugaboo. Love
all the detail and sillouette.
I love this picket fence with the bats. This is one of
Martha Stewarts border punches that I found at a
garage sale for a fraction of the store cost. Love
deals like that.

We hope that you will join us for this weeks sketch challenge.
Bugaboo is offering an amazing 7 DIGI stamps as
the prize. Wonderful right. So come join us. I look forward
to seeing all the wonderful ideas you will all come up with.
HAPPY CRAFTING

ME4Y-Thanksgiving card using Kraft Paper.

This weeks challenge is to make a card using Kraft paper.
Now I have to admit that I didn't know what Kraft paper was.
I didn't know that it is a color of paper, but now I do. So
here is my Thanksgiving card using Kraft cardstock, with my
Stamping Boutique Digi.

This is also my first Copic Marker Colouring task since I
went to the Copic class last week-end. Now I still have along ways
to go, but I am proud of my new shading techniques on this digi.
I even used my markers to change the color of the ribbon. It
originally was white, but I went over it with my YR27 and
changed the ribbon color to perfectly match my card colors. I distressed the
edges with Tim Holzs ink and cut out my swirls with Sizzix dies.

This weeks sponsor is
they are giving away 3 digi's of your choice.

ME4Y Color Combo challenge

Wow, where has the time gone. It's NOVEMBER already. Hard to believe.
This weeks challenge is a favorite of mine called
Color Combo. I'll show you the colors in a moment.
But this is my card from all the colors.
I used a piece of DCWV paper for he back ground which
was a lavender stripe and topped it with a solid piece
of a darker lavender. The striped pattern paper is from my
Citris pack. I cut the fabulous center swirl with my Sizzix die,
and followed that up with strip that I used my AGAIN my
Martha Stewart floral edge punch. For the flower
I used silk petals of the coral and lavender with a purple
heart. The sentiment "Many Thanks" is from
a sticker pack by Joleen's.

And here is the lustrous combo colors.
Beautiful colors, don't you think?
I hope you enjoyed my card and will
join us for a color combo challenge this week
at ME4Y.

Welcome to Made Especially For You's
Telephone Blog Hop!

If you've never heard of the "Telephone" game it's a game most often played by kids that simulates how a story can change from person to person, or how a rumor can start. For example, I may tell Susie that at lunch today I had a peanut butter sandwich, an apple, and some milk, and she may go tell Jackie that I had a turkey sandwich, an apple, and some milk. Although only one small detail was changed, over time the entire story can change. The game is played by starting with a story and whispering it from one person to the next in a circle and seeing how the story changed once the last person has told it.

We decided to play this game as a design team, not with stories, but with cards! Our DT leader Ashley started with a photo of a card, emailed it to someone, who then created a card based off her card, and sent a photo of it to the next person. As a design team, this is the first time we're seeing the progression of the cards!

Here is the photo of the card I received from
And here is the card I created inspired by her card:

My inspiration for this card came from Cyndy's Happy Birthday.
With her Duck which was  very childish, so I decided that it had to be for a
childs birthday card. So I too went with "Celebrate" for a childres birthday
I beleive that I am on the right track with a childs birthday. This has been
allot of fun. I have never played the telephone game, but doing it with a card
theme has really been fun. it's going to be exciting to see what everyone else
came up with.

What fun is a blog hop without blog candy?! A couple of our design team members have donated some blog candy for those who comment on EVERY stop of the hop!

ME4Y Misting technique challenge.

My very first card using the technique of Misting.
Now I will show you the steps I used to make this.
First thing I did was pick the punch I was going to use
to make my stencil with.
This is one of Martha Stewarts punch around the page
punches. I really love this punch as it has many functions.
This is what it looked like when I got it all
punched out. Then I placed it on my card and
used my Perfect Pearls Mists. The color is called Forever Violet.
To me it looks more like a rose color. Pretty non the less.
I used my Spellbinders perfect swirls die to embellish the front.
I used used a piece of yard sale ribbon down the side that has some gold
trim. And the final little touch, was a white silk flower. I really do love it.

Happy Scrappin.

ME4Y 3 leaves challenge

This weeks challenge is all about leaves. It seems so appropriate
since fall has raised it head and things are cooling down.
So, this card was a fun one for me.
I was so excited to have received my new Die for the
back ground of this card from Spellbinders called the Card Maker
If you don't have it, do get it. It is awesome.
Is used a precut doily and my Spellbinders Maple leaf die
for the center. Martha Stewart always seems to find away onto
my cards. LOL This is her fancy butterfly punch. For the scrolls I
used my Cricut cart called Picturesque. And to finish it off my
sentiment also came from a Cricut cart called Beyond Birthdays.

If you haven't already become a follower take this opportunity
to. I am giving away a great blog candy when I reach 100 followers.

Hope you will join us for this weeks LEAF challenge.
